About Me

I have lived in Somerset all of my life but have been lucky enough to travel extensively which has granted me a wider appreciation of the world we live in and our place within it. 

I worked exclusively in the private sector until 2018 when a personal mental health crisis prompted me to seek my own personal therapy. This saved me and changed everything. It gave me insight into how counselling can encourage understanding of self and promote positive change and growth. During this process I found myself wanting to do for others what my own therapist did for me and so began my journey to become a qualified counsellor.

I moved into mental health work with a local charity in 2019 and have delivered front line support for several of their projects since then. I have gained experience supporting people across a spectrum of need ranging from mild emotional support through to high anxiety, deep depression and ultimately those at crisis point. My counselling work includes supporting Children & Young People at another charity in the county and I  continue all of this work alongside my private practice.
